
Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost lander touched down at 8.34am GMT yesterday, after a 46-day journey of more than 4.5 million kilometres.
Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost lander successfully touched down on the Moon, becoming the second private company to achieve this feat. The lander, part of a NASA project, captured images including a "selfie" with Earth and is carrying scientific payloads to analyze lunar soil and temperatures. The landing occurred near Mons Latreille and was precise, within 100 meters of its target.
