The eclipse will begin with the penumbral phase at 11:57 p.m. ET on March 13, followed by the partial eclipse at 1:09 a.m. ET on March 14. The total eclipse, when the moon turns red, will begin at 2:26 a.m. ET, reach its maximum at 2:58 a.m. ET, and end at 3:31 a.m. ET. The partial eclipse will end at 4:47 a.m. ET and the penumbral phase at 6:00 a.m. ET. The total phase will last approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes. The event can be observed in person or via live streaming.
