Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell is monitoring the arrest of Tufts graduate student Rumeysa Ozturk by ICE, who is being held in Louisiana. Ozturk's attorney is unaware of any charges. Tufts University confirmed the arrest occurred off-campus and they had no prior knowledge or involvement. The Department of Homeland Security claims, without evidence, Ozturk supported Hamas. Ozturk voiced support for the pro-Palestine movement. A judge ordered ICE not to move Ozturk outside of Massachusetts without prior notice.
