Air France is launching a new "La Première" first-class service, unveiled on March 18, 2025, to cater to the growing affluent leisure travel market, which has replaced declining business travel. This strategy, initiated in 2018, includes fleet renewal with A220 and A350 Airbus aircraft and represents an investment of over €1 billion per year for five years to compete with airlines like British Airways and Lufthansa.
