Athlete bonus management was reformed, with direct payments from the Treasury. Funding for clubs in African competitions was stopped, prioritizing national teams. Diplomatic setbacks occurred with losses in FIFA and ACNOA elections. Senegal is accelerating preparations for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games. While reforms are underway, no major sports infrastructure initiatives have been realized.
