ANDREW NEIL: How Rachel Reeves led to tax rises and MUCH worse after Spring Statement

A government that was elected last July with a core mission to boost Britain's economy was forced to announce the official Whitehall number cruncher had slashed its growth forecast in half.



According to Andrew Neil of the Daily Mail, Chancellor Rachel Reeves' Spring Statement masked a slashed growth forecast with promises and future tax rises. Reeves' spending and cost-cutting measures, including welfare cuts and targeting tax avoidance, aim to restore fiscal headroom and credibility, but Neil suggests these measures may be problematic and contradict previous promises of fiscal prudence.
