Appeals Court Lets Judge Boasberg Decide Lawsuit on Alien Enemies Act

Two judges in D.C. upheld the ability of Judge James Boasberg to temporarily "stay" -- or block -- deportations of Venezuelan migrants via the Alien Enemies Act. The post Appeals Court Lets Judge Boasberg Decide Lawsuit on Alien Enemies Act appeared first on Breitbart.

A U.S. Appeals Court upheld a lower court's decision to allow Judge James Boasberg to decide a lawsuit concerning the deportation of Venezuelan migrants under the Alien Enemies Act. This temporarily blocks their deportations, keeping them in Texas while the court decides if migrants can challenge their deportations under the 1798 law. The lawsuit was filed by pro-migration groups representing migrants facing deportation after Trump revived the Act to deport Venezuelan gang members. A dissenting judge argued the case should be heard in Texas, not D.C.
