Following revelations about the Galileo group and a journalistic investigation detailing alleged abuses, the French Ministers of Education and Higher Education announced an inter-ministerial inspection for greater transparency in for-profit private higher education institutions. They also plan to work on strengthening the Qualiopi scheme for apprenticeship funding. This announcement follows a meeting with the president of Galileo Global Education and coincides with the release of a book and proposed legislation aimed at better regulating the private education sector.
