At least 18 injured after plane crashes and flips on landing in Toronto
A Delta Air Lines plane, a Bombardier CRJ900 operated by Endeavor Air, crashed and flipped on landing at Toronto Pearson airport, injuring at least 18 of the 80 passengers and crew. The flight, numbered 4819, departed from Minneapolis. Two adults were critically injured and airlifted to a trauma center, while a child was taken to a downtown hospital. Video footage showed passengers evacuating with assistance from crew and firefighters. The US Federal Aviation Authority confirmed all were safely evacuated. Passenger John Nelson reported no prior issues before the crash. Airport CEO Deborah Flint noted no other planes were involved. The crash occurred during severe weather, with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada investigating. This incident followed recent fatal US crashes.
