Australia's science agency sent questions from Trump administration asking if it is taking ‘appropriate measures’ against gender ideology

The Trump administration sent a questionnaire to CSIRO and at least 13 Australian universities, questioning their alignment with US interests, including measures against "gender ideology," funding from China, and involvement in climate/environmental justice projects. This follows Trump's executive order "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism." Some Australian universities have already had US funding cut, and the Australian Academy of Science has called for a review of Australia's R&D exposure to the US due to concerns about the US becoming an "unpredictable" partner.
