In total, 10 Ayrshire stations will see the opening hours of their ticket office reduced.
ScotRail has announced plans to reduce ticket office opening hours at 10 Ayrshire train stations, following a public consultation with Transport Focus, which received feedback from over 1,500 people. The changes, effective from March 31, include reductions at stations such as Ardrossan South Beach, Girvan, Glengarnock, Irvine, Kilwinning, Largs, Saltcoats, and Troon. Ayr station will remain unaffected, with no changes to its current ticket office hours. The new hours aim to align with modern ticket-buying habits and improve safety, according to ScotRail.
