Hong Kong police have launched an investigation after a baby was found unresponsive in the waters off North Point and later confirmed dead. The infant was discovered by a passer-by who spotted her on Wednesday in the waters near the Man Hong Street Playground shortly before 4pm. Firefighters retrieved the child from the water, next to the site of the Independent Commission Against Corruption headquarters. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
