At the Nigerian British University's second matriculation, Abia State Governor Alex Otti, represented by Prof. Uche Uche, advised new students to develop practical skills alongside academic knowledge. He highlighted the government's investment in education, allocating 20% of the state budget and continuing free education policies. NBU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Hakeem Fawehinmi announced the formal admission of 162 students into 23 programs across five faculties, with recent NUC approval bringing the total to 24 courses.
