A fire broke out at Schloss Johannstorf near Dassow on Saturday, completely destroying the historical building. When the fire department arrived in the morning, the castle was already fully engulfed in flames. Firefighting efforts were completed by late afternoon. The police suspect arson and have initiated an investigation. The castle was privately owned, and the local community had previously attempted to acquire it due to a lack of investments.
