Brazil's General Prosecutor has filed charges against former President Jair Bolsonaro, accusing him of attempting a coup after losing the 2022 election. The indictment, which spans 272 pages, alleges that Bolsonaro conspired to overthrow democracy, including plans to poison his successor, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and assassinate a Supreme Court justice. Thirty-three others, including former officials, are also accused of involvement in the plot. The charges include conspiracy, coup attempt, and formation of a criminal organization. The Supreme Court will now review the case. Bolsonaro denies the allegations.
