Building work starts on £11.3million affordable housing development in Dumfries

Wheatley Homes South is behind the project at College Mains, which will result in 44 homes being built.



Construction has begun on a £11.3 million affordable housing development at College Mains in Dumfries, funded in part by a £6.6 million Scottish Government contribution. Ashleigh (Scotland) is undertaking the building work, with Wheatley Homes South managing the project, which aims to provide much-needed, energy-efficient homes. The development is expected to be completed by the summer of 2026, with similar projects planned for Lochside and Newington.
