Landmarks across the world, including Buckingham Palace in the UK, will go dark for an hour on Saturday for WWF’s annual campaign.
Ahead of WWF's Earth Hour, campaigners are urging the UK Government to strengthen action on nature, citing public opinion that current efforts are insufficient. Landmarks like Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Westminster will participate in the global lights-off event. WWF is advocating for a "Living Planet Act" to set legally binding targets for nature protection, while the Government states it is already taking significant steps through its Plan for Change.
