Canada, Australia to jointly build new military radar system in Arctic

Canada and Australia will jointly develop a new $6 billion long-range military radar system in the Arctic to enhance Canada's surveillance and threat response capabilities amid increasing geopolitical competition in the region. Canada is also investing an additional $420 million to bolster its military presence across air, sea, and land domains in the Arctic, aligning with NORAD requirements.
