Canadians warned to 'shelter in place' as horrifying scenes of violence sweep Mexico

Travellers from Canada who are currently vacationing in Mexico are being ordered to "shelter in place" due to a serious safety and security issue.On Sunday, the Government of Canada updated its travel advisory, warning travellers about violence and roadblocks in southwestern Mexico.According to the statement, criminal groups have created roadblocks using burning vehicles in Jalisco State, including Puerto Vallarta, Guerrero State, including Acapulco, and Michoacan State."There have been shootouts with security forces and explosions.
