Des scientifiques allemands ont montré que, dans les forêts tempérées, les arbres d’une espèce rare ont tendance à être proches les uns des autres, tandis qu’ils se mélangent davantage aux espèces abondantes dans les forêts tropicales.



A German study shows that in temperate forests, rare tree species tend to cluster together, while in tropical forests, they mix more with abundant species. This observation is based on data from the ForestGEO consortium, which tracks over 7 million trees across 78 sites.
