The election of the new Pope, in the event of Pope Francis's passing, is conducted by the College of Cardinals, who gather to form the Papal Conclave. They assemble in the Sistine Chapel, taking a secrecy oath, and engage in secret voting, with four rounds per day. A candidate must secure two-thirds of the votes to be elected.
