CUPE's Airline Division, representing 18,500 Canadian flight attendants, is urging federal parties to pledge to ban unpaid work in the airline sector if elected, by reintroducing Bill C-415. This bill would ensure flight attendants are paid for all work hours, including pre/post-flight duties and training, at their full rate. The average flight attendant works nearly 35 unpaid hours monthly.
