The arraignment of 34-year-old Chinese national Liao Zhang and Genting International Co. Ltd. on cybercrime charges was stalled in Nigeria due to the absence of legal representation for Zhang. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alleged that Zhang's actions violated sections of Nigeria's Cybercrimes Prohibition and Prevention Act 2015 and the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022.
