When it comes to oil and gas, 89 per cent now want more refineries and LNG terminals, 82 per cent say Canada should fast-track permits, and 72 per cent favour axing the carbon tax.
A new poll indicates strong Canadian support for building new oil and gas pipelines, including Northern Gateway and Energy East, even in Quebec. This poses a threat to the divided Carney Liberals, who are on the opposite side of public opinion on this issue. The poll was conducted in mid-February by Yorkville Strategies for the Alberta government.
