The UK government has issued health warnings about a deadly virus, previously known as monkeypox, which is spreading across 11 countries, primarily in Africa, though it poses a risk elsewhere without travel bans. The virus causes flu-like symptoms and spreads through contact. The UK Health Security Agency updated its list of affected countries, noting that while some, like Cameroon, have historical cases, others, including Belgium, Canada, and the USA, have recent cases linked to travel from affected regions.
