A total lunar eclipse, also known as a "Blood Moon," will be visible across Mexico on March 14, 2025, between the night of March 13 and the early morning of March 14. The eclipse occurs when the Earth passes between the Sun and Moon, causing the Moon to appear reddish due to the Earth's atmosphere scattering sunlight. Viewing is possible with the naked eye, but binoculars and telescopes are recommended for a better experience. The entire territory of Mexico will have optimal conditions, with areas free of light pollution, such as Tijuana, Hermosillo, Monterrey and Mazatlán.
