Employee locked himself in toilet after being asked to hand over phone, High Court told
Rippling, a US-based HR firm, alleges a rival company used a Dublin employee, Keith O'Brien, to unlawfully obtain trade secrets. Rippling sought and was granted interim orders, now lifted, to compel O'Brien to disclose confidential information shared with third parties. O'Brien allegedly locked himself in a bathroom to avoid handing over his phone. Rippling also filed proceedings in the US against Deel, alleging misappropriation of trade secrets.
