Dublin office employee used by rival to obtain trade secrets, global HR firm claims

Employee locked himself in toilet after being asked to hand over phone, High Court told

Rippling, a US-based HR company, alleges a Dublin office employee, Keith O'Brien, shared trade secrets with rival company Deel. Rippling is seeking court orders in Ireland compelling O'Brien to disclose the confidential information he shared and with whom. O'Brien allegedly locked himself in a bathroom to avoid handing over his phone. Rippling has also filed a lawsuit against Deel in the US alleging misappropriation of trade secrets.
