Two men were on Wednesday charged in a Nairobi court for allegedly stealing blood collection equipment worth over Ksh1.1 million from Kenyatta National Hospital. The suspects, Henry Theuri and Erick Otieno Omedo, are accused of stealing four cartons containing 24 automated blood collection kits and one carton of ordinary blood bags. The items, valued at Ksh1,125,870, are owned by the Nairobi Region Blood Transfusion Centre.. Prosecutors allege that the incident took place on July 29, 2025, within the hospital compound.
