Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, has released Grok 3, its latest flagship AI model, with enhanced capabilities compared to its predecessor, Grok 2. Grok 3, developed using significantly more computing power and a broader training dataset, is designed to be a "maximally truth-seeking AI." It includes a family of models, such as Grok 3 Reasoning and Grok 3 mini, which balance speed and accuracy. The model powers new features in the Grok iOS and web apps, including DeepSearch, a research tool, and voice mode for synthesized speech output. Access to Grok 3 and related features is tiered, with premium plans priced at $50 and $30 per month or $300 annually. xAI plans to open-source Grok 2 once Grok 3 is stable. Grok 3 reflects xAI’s aim to improve neutrality in political topics, though its current alignment remains unclear.
