Este jueves 13 de marzo se reanudará la audiencia de juicio oral en el marco del proceso que se le sigue al expresidente Pedro Castillo y exministros por el fallido golpe de Estado del pasado 7 de diciembre de 2022.
The oral trial against former Peruvian President Pedro Castillo for the alleged coup attempt on December 7, 2022, resumed on March 13th. Castillo, who is currently detained at the Barbadillo prison and was recently hospitalized due to a hunger strike, did not attend the hearing. He is being investigated for rebellion, abuse of authority, and disturbing public tranquility. Castillo previously dismissed his legal team and claims he is innocent, questioning the legitimacy of the trial. A habeas corpus presented by Castillo against the Supreme Court is being processed.
