Enugu State is launching its climate policy, action plan (ESCPAP), and a climate education manual for schools. The ESCPAP aims to transform the state's economy sustainably and address climate change challenges, aspiring to grow GDP from $4.4 billion to $30 billion by 2031. The plan, grounded in scientific research, incorporates emissions modeling, micro-energy audits, and stakeholder engagement and focuses on green jobs, climate resilience, green energy transition, green financing, and climate education in schools. The climate education handbook, developed with international partners and validated by multiple organizations, is designed to empower students and educators.
