Consumer protection is not nearly so strong for rail travellers as airline passengers
Due to the discovery of a WWII bomb near Paris Gare du Nord, all Eurostar trains between London and Paris have been cancelled, impacting 25,000 passengers. While passengers are entitled to a refund and potential reimbursement for accommodation, rail travelers' rights are weaker than airline passengers', as Eurostar only allows rebooking on its services.
