Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate, Frederick Nwajagu, is appealing his conviction under the Lagos State Obas and Chiefs Law for unlawfully parading himself as a titled chief. Nwajagu argues the law violates his constitutional rights to freedom of expression and association and that his conviction contradicts the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State. He was initially arrested for allegedly threatening to invite IPOB to Lagos but was acquitted of terrorism charges.
