FA defends WFH agreement with Thomas Tuchel as new England manager misses Premier League games

Tuchel has missed three Premier League weekends in his first six-and-a-half weeks in the job

The FA has defended its work-from-home agreement with Thomas Tuchel, the new England manager, who has missed several Premier League games in his first six-and-a-half weeks in the role. Tuchel, who started his tenure in January after being unveiled in October, has also missed FA Cup and Carabao Cup matches. The FA stated that Tuchel has attended 17 matches to watch English players and is working full-time to assess players for his first squad announcement. Tuchel, who has a base in London, has emphasized the importance of being close to both his family in Germany and the players. His first game in charge is a World Cup qualifier against Albania on March 21.
