The Nigerian Federal Government has allocated N700 billion to combat HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and improve immunization, amidst concerns about US aid cuts. Calls are being made for increased domestic funding for TB treatment and increased TB funding allocation from the Global Fund, as tuberculosis remains a leading cause of death. NAFDAC has also alerted the public about fake anti-malaria drugs in circulation.
