Both León and Pachuca belong to Grupo Pachuca, violating the regulation prohibiting participation of clubs with the same owner. The decision followed a complaint by Liga Deportiva Alajuelense and an investigation. Pachuca remains in the competition. Club León disagrees and will appeal.
