Figure has unveiled its new Helix Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model, enabling its humanoid robot to perform tasks through voice commands and visual data. Helix, designed for generalist use, allows robots to handle thousands of household items unseen during training, even working in pairs. The company has shifted from collaborating with OpenAI to developing its own models. While still in early stages, the announcement aims to attract engineers to further develop the technology.
