Airport chief said the blaze which knocked out an electricity substation was ‘as big as it gets’
Flights resumed at Heathrow Airport after a day of travel chaos caused by a large fire at an electricity substation. The fire, deemed non-suspicious, knocked out power equivalent to a mid-sized city. Repatriation flights restarted Friday evening, with a full schedule expected Saturday. Around 200,000 passengers were affected. Restrictions on overnight flights have been lifted to ease congestion.
