Florida man charged after shooting two men he thought were ’Palestinians’
A Florida man, Mordechai Brafman, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after shooting two men he believed were Palestinians. The victims, an Israeli father and son vacationing in Miami Beach, survived the unprovoked attack, with one sustaining a shoulder injury and the other grazed by a bullet. Brafman, 27, is held without bond, and his attorney claims he was in a severe mental health crisis at the time, fearing for his life. The Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations is advocating for federal hate crime charges against Brafman.
