Former Citibank executive Maeve Bradley received a £215,000 settlement after alleging sex discrimination when she was offered a different, lower-level role upon returning from maternity leave, despite being promised a promotion. The Equality Commission for Northern Ireland supported her case, noting that pregnancy and maternity discrimination remain a common issue in the workplace.
