François Bayrou, the French Prime Minister, has survived his sixth no-confidence vote in the National Assembly. The vote followed controversial remarks he made about migration, in which he stated that contributions from immigrants are beneficial as long as they remain proportionate. Only 181 out of 577 deputies supported the motion to remove him. Bayrou, who has been in office since December, leads a government without a parliamentary majority, making him vulnerable to such votes. His predecessor, Michael Barnier, had resigned over the budget.
