Full list of London council tax bills as virtually every borough seeks maximum increase

Revealed: Why Wandsworth can set the cheapest bills but Kingston’s are biggest in the capital

Almost all of London's 33 boroughs are planning to increase council tax bills by the maximum 4.99% allowed, with 30 boroughs set to implement this rise. Newham, facing financial challenges, has been granted permission to increase by 8.99%, while Kensington and Chelsea and Wandsworth are not seeking the maximum increase, with Wandsworth proposing a 2% rise. Mayor Sadiq Khan has proposed a 4% increase for his portion of the budget. The total increase for a band D property will add £18.98, making the annual bill £490.38. The average increase is £91, leading to an average payment of £1,996. Twenty-two boroughs will exceed £2,000 annually, with Kingston at £2,488 and Wandsworth at £990. Some boroughs are seeking financial support to avoid bankruptcy, and additional costs include National Insurance changes and potential contractor bill hikes.
