Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has doubled down on his commitment to a united Opposition, vowing that the United Opposition coalition will field a single presidential candidate to challenge President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election. Gachagua made the declaration on Sunday during a church service at Christ Dominion Ministries in Kasarani, Nairobi, where he accused the Kenya Kwanza administration of plotting to divide the Opposition. He maintained that the alleged schemes had collapsed. “I want to assure you that we are steadfast and will remain united in the Opposition. We will liberate this country together,” he said.
