Actor Gene Hackman, 95, died of hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease with Alzheimer's on February 18 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. One week prior, on February 11, his wife, Betsy Arakawa, 65, died at their home of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, a rare disease transmitted by rodents. Both were found dead February 26.
