A study by the Institute for Employment Research challenges the stereotype of Generation Z as a "lazy generation." Between 1995 and 2015, labor participation among 20- to 24-year-olds declined, but it has since risen by over six percentage points to 76%. This increase is attributed to more students taking on part-time jobs. The rise in part-time employment was particularly significant among students, while full-time employment also increased. The findings contradict the perception of Generation Z as lacking work ethic.
