Germany takes on Elon Musk's SpaceX: European aerospace start

Never before has a rocket blasted from Europe reached orbit - but a German start-up is now on a mission to finally change this.



German start-up Isar Aerospace unveiled its 95-foot Spectrum rocket, designed to launch payloads into low-Earth orbit from continental Europe. The company, founded in Munich in 2018, aims to build up to 40 launch vehicles per year and launch from Norway, marking a potential first orbital space launch from European soil.
