Google removed mentions of "diversity" and "equity" from the Responsible AI team's webpage, following similar changes to its Startups Founders Fund grant website and the elimination of diversity hiring targets. This aligns with a broader trend of tech companies rolling back DEI initiatives amid government scrutiny, although Apple has resisted this trend. Similar actions have also been taken by Amazon, Meta, and OpenAI.
