Grandfather held over the death of little Emile was quizzed over alleged violence and sexual assault at Catholic school where he worked in the 1990s

The grandfather of Émile Soleil, a French boy whose remains were found in the Alps after he disappeared, was taken into custody and questioned about alleged violence and sexual assault at a Catholic school where he worked in the 1990s. This follows a secret police wiretap which revealed a 'family row' before his arrest. The grandfather was previously implicated as an 'assisted witness' in an enquiry into sex abuse at a Roman Catholic school where he worked. Émile disappeared while under his grandfather's supervision. His bones were found months later.
