The BLA demands the release of its imprisoned members, threatening to blow up the train and execute the remaining 182 hostages if their demands are not met and military intervention continues. The train, the Jaffar Express, was attacked en route from Quetta to Peshawar. The BLA claims to have killed 30 government soldiers during armed combat and warns against any military advance.
